What's your New Year's resolution AGAIN?!
在中國，很少會(huì )有人提及“新年決心”，通常我們見(jiàn)面會(huì )問(wèn)：“新的一年到啦，你有什么愿望嗎？”那么，東西方這一文化差異的關(guān)鍵在哪呢？我們來(lái)簡(jiǎn)單看一下兩個(gè)單詞的英文釋義：
resolution：決心
If you make a resolution, you decide to try very hard to do something.
wish：愿望；心愿
A wish is a desire or strong feeling that you want to have something or do something.
綜上來(lái)看，新年決心強調的是行動(dòng)力，一般會(huì )從小事著(zhù)眼，過(guò)程比結果更重要；而愿望則是一種美好的希冀，大家對新年都懷著(zhù)嶄新的期許，但是愿望能不能實(shí)現呢？還是要看造化啦~！

Chapter Three: How come it is so difficult to stick to my New Year's resolutions?

Because resolutions are like a wish list.

Think about the Christmas lists that everyone makes. Do you really think you're going to get that Xbox One that you asked for? No. But wouldn't it be really nice? Hell yeah!

Same goes for resolutions. They're things we think we'd like to do, but probably don't have the courage/resolve do actually follow through on. It's that simple.
決心清單也是一樣。清單上列的是我們想做，但不一定有勇氣或決心做成的事情。就是這么簡(jiǎn)單。

Chapter Four: How does someone make resolutions actually work?
第四章：那些真正把新年決心付諸實(shí)踐的人是怎么做到的？
Follow the rules of SMART goals :
遵循SMART原則：
Specific—Specify the details of your resolution properly. Ambiguous goals are prone to loopholes which can be exploited by you in future.
S（Specific）：合理細分目標。含糊不清的任務(wù)遲早會(huì )暴露漏洞，然后被你利用。
Measurable—Your resolution should be measurable so that you can get a boolean answer to whether you have fulfilled it or not.
M（Measurable）：量化目標。將目標量化后你就可以獲得具體的邏輯數據，以此來(lái)確定你是否完成了自己的任務(wù)。
Assignable—If it is a group task, it should be assignable individually. Avoid ambiguous dependencies.
A（Assignable）：合理分配任務(wù)。將群組性任務(wù)分配到個(gè)人。避免模糊的依賴(lài)推脫行為。
Realistic—The resolution that is unrealistic is the resolution that fails. Divide your main resolution into smaller ones that seem doable to you. Baby steps is the key.
R（Realistic）：著(zhù)眼于現實(shí)。不現實(shí)的目標注定會(huì )失敗。將主要任務(wù)劃分成個(gè)人力所能及的小塊。積跬步才是關(guān)鍵。
Time-related—Specify the time limit in which you want to achieve your goal.
T（Time）：關(guān)于時(shí)間。定下完成任務(wù)的期限。
