“北極之門(mén)”是一扇什么樣的門(mén)呢？Ha ha, it’s not a real gate but a city.它就是挪威北部小鎮特羅姆瑟。It is located just north of the Arctic Circle.特羅姆瑟恰恰位于北極圈的北邊一點(diǎn)兒。
100多年前探險家就是從這里出發(fā)深入北極的。
From then on, the “Gate to the Arctic” was opened.
“北極之門(mén)”的名字也從此流傳下來(lái)。
特羅姆瑟每年有56天“暗無(wú)天日”的日子。
People can’t see the sun all day and all night.
The sun rises again on January 21.
特羅姆瑟人把這一天叫做“太陽(yáng)日”。
But the sun only stays in the sky for 4 minutes that day.
雖然太陽(yáng)只會(huì )出現4分鐘，人們也非常高興了。
