China's drug watchdog has ordered the recall of 21,700 bottles of injections produced by the Shandong Qidu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd for quality problems.
The Levofloxacin Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride injections were found to contain "impurities similar to furs," Xinhua learned from the China Food and Drug Administration on Saturday.
The administration had invited head of the company for a talk, it said. The drug company admitted its
negligence and said would take responsibilities for any
undesirable results.
The injections against
germ infection were sold in four provinces -- Jilin, Hebei, Heilongjiang and Liaoning.
