At Home
在家里
- Say “Please” when asking。
請求別人時(shí)說(shuō)“請”。
- Say “Thank you” when receiving。
接受別人東西時(shí)說(shuō)“謝謝”。
- Show respect for others and elders。
尊重別人,特別是年長(cháng)的人。
- Let others finish before you speak。
等別人說(shuō)完,再開(kāi)口。
- Don‘t use bad language。
不說(shuō)臟話(huà)。
- Ask permission before touching or taking things。
摸和拿別人的東西要先得到允許。
- Respect your own and other people‘s property。
尊重自己和別人的財產(chǎn)。
- Return things you have borrowed from others。
及時(shí)歸還別人借給你的東西。
- Consider other people‘s privacy.People need their own space but also consider their possessions。

- Use polite phone protocol。

- Be polite when someone serves you。

- Listen and don‘t interrupt when people are speaking。

Having Guests In Your Home

- Don‘t forget to introduce people in your home to visiting guests。

Being A Guest
作客
- Don‘t visit unless you have been invited or agreed that it’s convenient to do so。
如果不是對方邀請你、或是他們方便的時(shí)候,不要輕易拜訪(fǎng)他人。
- Don‘t assume you can stay as long as you want - establish a time limit。
事先定個(gè)離開(kāi)的時(shí)間——不要你想待多久就待多久。
- Permission is needed from both parents/guardians if you want to stay over。
如果你想在別人家里過(guò)夜,要得到雙方父母或監護人的允許。
- Offer to help out and assist when you are a guest in someone else‘s home。
在別人家作客時(shí),要主動(dòng)幫忙。
- Clean up and tidy after yourself。 This is especially true if you are staying in someone‘s home for a few days。
吃完?yáng)|西后自己清理。特別是當你在別人家叨擾好幾天的時(shí)候,更要做好這一點(diǎn)。
- Don‘t forget to say “thank you” at the end of your stay。 It would also be nice at this point to reciprocate and invite the person to your home。

General Manners Out And About
外出時(shí)的一般禮儀
- Say “excuse me” when bumping into someone。

- Don‘t put your feet up on seats on public transport or indeed in anyone’s home。
乘坐公共交通工具或在別人家拜訪(fǎng)時(shí),不要把腳放在座位上。

- Offer your seat to an elderly or physically impaired person when in a public place or travelling on public transport。
在公共場(chǎng)所或乘坐公共交通工具時(shí),要主動(dòng)為老人或行動(dòng)不便的人讓座。
- Consider the noise level of your portable music when out and about - keep the noise level down。
在外時(shí),調好隨身聽(tīng)的音量——小點(diǎn)聲。
- Be kind to the elderly and open the door for them。
多照顧老人,主動(dòng)為他們開(kāi)門(mén)。
