Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.

And this isn’t just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country.

Where you are right now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end up. No one’s written your destiny for you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.
你現在的情況并不能決定你未來(lái)的成就。沒(méi)有人能決定你的命運。在我們美國，你的命運由你自己來(lái)決定。你的未來(lái)由你自己去創(chuàng )造。
That’s no excuse for not trying.

But the truth is, being successful is hard.

But Michael Jordan once said, "I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

These people succeeded because they understand that you can’t let your failures define you – you have to let them teach you.

No one’s born being good at things, you become good at things through hard work.
沒(méi)有人生來(lái)就擅長(cháng)所有事，擅長(cháng)是通過(guò)努力獲得的。
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s sign of strength. It shows you have the courage to admit when you don’t know something, and to learn something new.
別怕問(wèn)問(wèn)題。當你需要幫助的時(shí)候別怕尋求幫助。尋求幫助不是弱者的表現，反而是強者的表現，因為這說(shuō)明你有勇氣承認自己在某些方面的無(wú)知，且你想要學(xué)習一些新東西。
And even when you’re struggling, even when you’re discouraged, and you feel like other people have given up on you – don’t ever give up on yourself. Because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country.
就算你在苦苦掙扎，就算你心灰意冷，就算你覺(jué)得其他人都放棄了你，你也不要放棄你自己。因為你放棄了自己，就等于放棄了你的國家。
