MSN Alerts is a free alerting service that connects your readers to the information that matters to them, with the control of when and where they want to receive it via MSN Messenger, email, and their mobile device. Valuable reporting tools will give you insight into your readership you‘ve never had before.
Just as you‘d expect, readers are in 100% control of opt-in and opt-out.

Fill out a quick form with information and RSS feed URL.Receive confirmation from MSN Alerts.
Put the MSN Alerts "Sign Up" link on your blog inviting your readers to sign up to receive blog updates. (We‘ll give you a graphic and simple HTML code for this.)
MSN Alerts reaches over 150 million users around the world.
Your reader will authenticate themselves on the network (no SPAM here!). They can choose to receive updates via desktop alert, email, PDA, and/or cell phone depending on how they choose to receive them.
Our ability to locate a reader and deliver an update in the way that they want to receive it is very powerful and greatly contributes to making MSN Alerts so effective.
Note: Readers can modify their settings at any point and have 100% control over the opt-in and opt-out process. (Again, no SPAM here.)
When you update your blog, MSN Alerts will automatically send a short headline with your update in the manner your reader has requested. What‘s really great is this message is clickable: It helps your reader quickly decide whether this update is of interest and, if it is, clicking the update takes them to your blog. (According to our early tests, this mechanism is a lot more convenient than the typical aggregator experience... please share your feedback!)

For ease of use, the MSN Messenger client acts as a historical log. Your subscribers will find all updates over the last day or so conveniently stored under the MSN Alerts tab in their MSN Messenger window.
