近年，美國內華達州“世界上最大的小城”里諾開(kāi)始打造“藝術(shù)之城”(art town)形象，昨天周日下午我又去位于down town的圖書(shū)館，還專(zhuān)門(mén)看了一場(chǎng)當地劇社的實(shí)驗演出《安德魯克里斯和獅子》。
圖書(shū)館內綠意盎然，大量的天然植物無(wú)形中改善著(zhù)室內空氣。該圖書(shū)館建于1966年，當時(shí)的建筑師Hewitt Wells因為無(wú)法如愿將其設立在公園，所以就在這個(gè)圖書(shū)館里種植了上百種植物，有成熟的大樹(shù)和噴泉。
該圖書(shū)館另一個(gè)顯著(zhù)特色是1-4樓走廊掛滿(mǎn)拼布作品(Patchwork，百家布)。
拼布作品在體現傳統和懷舊中，講求創(chuàng )意設計和精美手工，是一種難能可貴的創(chuàng )作和表現。
閱讀書(shū)刊、上網(wǎng)、走國際象棋，這里有我喜歡的一切，周休日足不出城也很容易打發(fā)時(shí)間。So you know I am a sap when it comes to library. That's me, Annie. 。
The Downtown Reno Library：The centrally-located library serves the downtown residential and business community with a variety of services-public WiFi, leisure reading, audiovisual materials including DVD's and videos, books on CD and cassette, and computers with Internet access. We focus on the information needs of our patrons, with an extensive reference collection, a large topographic map collection, and our Nevada files containing thousands of articles relating to local news and history. We also house a federal and state government publication collection and have a complete collection of local newspaper microfilm. An auditorium with grand piano and an art gallery on the balcony round out our beautiful facility.
下午1點(diǎn)，我們在圖書(shū)館內設的小劇場(chǎng)免費看實(shí)驗演出。平時(shí)收費是$5/人/場(chǎng)，目的在于普及和提高市民的文化和欣賞水平：
《安德魯克里斯和獅子》/ Androcles and the Lion是愛(ài)爾蘭劇作家George Bernard Shaw 根據羅馬古傳說(shuō)故事編寫(xiě)劇本。

1935年成立的RLT劇社(Reno Little Theater)很快要迎來(lái)它第76季演出：
演出結束后，演員們在接受觀(guān)眾的提問(wèn)和建議：
“美國好玩吧？！”同行人張開(kāi)雙臂問(wèn)道。“是吖。”據報道里諾曾上榜美國最適合居住的城市。
此外，圖書(shū)館內特別布局了退休人員閱覽中心/Senior Central、青少年空間站/Teen Space、小朋友專(zhuān)屬地帶/Kid Zone，幾乎每個(gè)人都能找到自己的需求……

昨天星期天，上午我先在沃爾瑪化$2.50買(mǎi)一盒donut holes(下張左上)，10:30帶去RBC的茶桌。我又唱起Away, away, come away with me. where the grass grows wild and where the winds blow free，我知道我親愛(ài)的Daddy他很好；午餐在PHO店吃特價(jià)的蒙古牛肉套餐(Mongolian beef，下張右下)和酸辣湯，總共$5.95/份。Baby茄子很可愛(ài)吧，我第一次發(fā)現噠：
