The Group of Twenty（G20）Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy was held Saturday local time in Washington, the first of it's kind for the Group of 20 since it was founded in 1999. Heads of state of the Group of 20,as well as UN secretary General Ban Kimoon, and leaders of the international organizations such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund attended the meeting. Being held amid serious challenges to the world economy and financial markets, the summit issued a declaration, in which leaders say they are determined to enhance cooperation and work together to restore global growth and achieve needed reforms in the world's financial system. As widely expected before the summit, the leaders vow to implement reforms in order to strengthen financial markets and regulatory regimes so as to avoid future crisis
G20（Group of 20）是在2003年8月20日確立的開(kāi)發(fā)中國家的集體性稱(chēng)呼，20國集團是一個(gè)國際經(jīng)濟合作論壇，于1999年12月6日在德國柏林成立，屬于布雷頓森林體系框架內非正式對話(huà)的一種機制，由八國集團和十一個(gè)重要新興工業(yè)國家以及歐盟組成。按照國際慣例，國際貨幣基金組織與世界銀行列席該組織的會(huì )議。20國集團的GDP總量約占世界的85%，人口約40億。20國集團的成員國有：美國、中國、歐盟、英國、法國、德國、俄羅斯、日本、印度、阿根廷、澳大利亞、巴西、加拿大、印度尼西亞、意大利、韓國、墨西哥、沙特阿拉伯、南非、土耳其。
